NEXT DANCE - OCTOBER 1
There is a contra dance in just over a week (October 1st) with the Old Sod
Band (http://www.ottawacontra.ca/oldsodband/) and Bev Bernbaum
(http://ieee.uwaterloo.ca/~tcd/bands_callers/bevbernbaum.htm).  Bev is an
awesome caller from Toronto who is really clear, brings great dances, and
puts on a fantastic evening of programming. A great fit for the Old Sod
Band.

Details:
*	Beginners lesson 7:30pm, dance begins 8pm.
*	12$, 10$ for members and students, ages 16 and under free
*	Please bring indoor shoes to help maintain the dance floor!
*	Also...bring your water bottle to help keep our dances more
environmentally sustainable.

WALTZ LESSON & PRACTICE - OCTOBER 1
Same day, we have a really special afternoon event led by Julie Bishop  ---
a 2hr waltz lesson and practice.  If you have been wanting to learn how to
waltz OR have been wanting to improve your waltz, THIS IS THE EVENT FOR
YOU!!! :-)   

We have a few other waltz afternoons this year but they will be focused more
on actual dancing then learning so definitely come to this evening of you
are wanting to learn the waltz from scratch or want to pick up some fancier
waltz moves.

Details:
*	3:30-5:30pm  with option to go to The Table for dinner in between
the afternoon and evening dances.
*	8$ for the afternoon, 17$ to go to both the afternoon waltz lesson
and the evening contra dance.
*	Experienced dancers are very welcome to come pick up some tricks as
well as support new waltzers learn

MEMBERSHIP
If you want to become a member (help us bring in performers from afar, get
discounts on dances, support the dance series) but haven't yet, remember to
do so at the October 1st dance!

OTTAWA CONTRA ON CBC - SEPTEMBER 29
Quick reminder to turn on CBC Television Thursday, September 29th at 7:30
pm.  The Ottawa contra dances are being featured on a special show about
Ottawa cultural secrets.  Thank you to Andrea McCrady (the Dominion
carillonneur and one of our dancers) for suggesting the dances!
