Dancers,

Don't miss the fun of the last Contra Dance 'til fall on Friday, June 
19 at the Canton Presbyterian Church Hall off Park St. facing the town 
park. Dance starts at 7:30; instruction for beginners starts at 7. Salt 
Potatoes, a lively band from the Syracuse area will be making their 
North Country debut, as will Maura Volante, a caller from Canada. She 
promises to include a couple of play party dances just for the kids who 
come. Remember kids are free, and the adults they bring are $7. 
Students and seniors are $5. Beginners are always welcome at our dances 
and no partner is necessary. Fun is guaranteed as well as real 
community and great exercise. Best to bring water if you can and wear 
flat soled shoes.

If you've been THINKING about coming to the dances more than coming to 
the dances, now is the time to show your support and encouragement for 
our series. At the last dance we only had 33 people--not enough to 
break even. So if you want to see the dances continue in 2010, we need 
more bodies bouncing and flowing on the dance floor.

Here's another important thing. I very much need help in running and 
planning the dances--a strong committee of people who can take on small 
pieces of responsibility, such as being there early (6:15) for the 
dance, helping collect money, or helping clean up. Please contact me at 
peagreen at earthlink.net if you are willing to be on the committee in 
general, and/or if you can help out at the June dance.

DIRECTIONS: at the main intersection in Canton by the town park and 
movie theater, turn south on Park St. (toward SLU). At the other end of 
the park on the left you will see the Church.
