Don't miss the April North Country Contra Dance this Friday, April 17, 
7:30- 10:30 p.m. at the Crary Mills Community Center on Post Rd. in 
Crary Mills 4.5 miles south of Canton, NY. Instruction for beginners at 
7 p.m., so introduce someone new to the fun of real community dancing 
this time. With this dance we are beginning a discount for seniors and 
students. Admission donation for adults is $7, children are free, and 
those over 65 or students are $5.

Music will be provided by our local favorites High Flats String Band, 
with a southern Appalachian flavor. Calling will be by Bob Nicholson, 
an experienced caller from Syracuse much loved by our dancers. This 
dance is made possible in part by funds from the NY State Council on 
the Arts Decentralization Program, administered by the St. Lawrence 
Arts Council.

DIRECTIONS: From downtown CANTON: go east to the intersection of 310 
and Rt. 68. Take a left onto 68 toward Colton. Go 4+ miles and look for 
green sign on right saying Landons Corner. Turn left there onto Crary 
Mills Eden Rd. Go 1/2 mile to blinking yellow light and turn right onto 
Post Rd. The hall is 1/8 mile up on the left.
 From POTSDAM: take the Back Hanawa Road by the Kinney Drugs. Go right 
onto the South Canton Rd. at the curve. Go straight all the way to 
Crary Mills and the blinking yellow light and turn left.
 From CANADA: over Ogdensburg Bridge turn right on Rt. 37, go about 1.5 
miles to Rt. 68 toward Canton. Turn left onto 68 and continue through 
town. Follow directions from Canton. Good eats at Blackbird Cafe in 
center of town just beyond main intersection at the town park.
